Student 3D Animation
Shelley Page from DreamWorks hosted this category, which notably had an extremely high standard of 3D animation and film-making . The student nominees were flown in by NVIDIA for the ceremony and the Special Student session held on Saturday 10th May at the 3D Festival Conference.

"In recent years this category has has consistently amazed us with the exceptional aesthetic and technical quality and originality of the films," says Shelley Page from DreamWorks, who chaired and hosted the Student 3D Animation category. "The submissions for this award include some of the very best examples of student work I have ever seen - choosing the winner from these excellent films was tremendously difficult - all the nominees represent the very highest quality of international student work. I congratulate all of them - and look forward to seeing much more of their work in the future!"

The award for Best Student 3D Animation is for a short film produced by an individual or team of students displaying outstanding use of 3D graphics and animation.
